Arcanum is 8-2 against Newton Local since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Arcanum Trojans are taking a road trip to face off against the Newton Local Indians at 7:30 p.m. Arcanum is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

On Tuesday, Arcanum strolled past National Trail with points to spare, taking the game 48-32.

Meanwhile, Newton Local sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-44 victory over Southeastern Local on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Arcanum's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8. As for Newton Local, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.

Arcanum beat Newton Local 53-40 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Arcanum since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
