Preview: Manalapan vs. Central Regional
Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Central Regional should expect quite the challenge on Saturday. They will challenge Manalapan on the road at 7:00 PM. Central Regional are limping into the game on a five-game losing streak.
There's no need to mince words: Central Regional lost to Middletown South last Friday, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 0-35.
Meanwhile, Manalapan got themselves on the board against Howell, but Howell never followed suit. Everything went Manalapan's way against Howell as they made off with a 34-0 victory. With Manalapan ahead 24-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Manalapan's win lifted them to 2-2 while Central Regional's defeat dropped them down to 0-5. In their win, Manalapan relied heavily on senior Dale Sieczkowski, who rushed for 121 yards and 1 touchdown. Central Regional will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
