Horizon found their leader in sophomore Noah Sokolowski, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. Sokolowski has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Northrup, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 13 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds.

Mead's defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-7. As for Horizon, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mead will square off against Longmont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
