Soccer Recap: Milton Takes a Loss

Milton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Roswell Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 188th, while the Hornets are ranked third).

Milton's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Roswell, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milton will square off against Lanier at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lanier is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.9 goals per game this season. As for Roswell, they will challenge Northview at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
