Basketball Recap: Clay County Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Clay County Christian Academy lost against Tuscaloosa Christian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles lost to the Warriors at home by a 55-39 margin. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tuscaloosa Christian was led to victory by Josiah Wiggins and Alex Anglin. Wiggins shot 47% from the field to rack up 22 points and six steals, while Anglin went 7-for-16 on his way to 23 points along with eight boards and four steals. Anglin's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaeson Dogan, who posted eight points and five rebounds.

Clay County Christian Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Tuscaloosa Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Tuscaloosa Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Chilton Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 1. The matchup will give the Warriors their first taste of in-conference action this season. Clay County Christian Academy will be paying especially close attention to Tuscaloosa Christian's game: after Tuscaloosa Christian faces off against Tuscaloosa Home Educators, they'll take on Clay County Christian Academy again at 7:00 p.m. on December 4.
