Soccer Game Preview: Aurora Central Catholic vs. Mendota

Aurora Central Catholic is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They never let Serena get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. Given Aurora Central Catholic's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 174th, while Serena are ranked 380th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Mendota had to endure a three-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Hinckley-Big Rock 1-0.

Aurora Central Catholic's win bumped their record up to 9-4-4. As for Mendota, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11-4.
