Huron and Pioneer are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2019, but not for long. The River Rats are taking a road trip to face off against the Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Huron comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

On Tuesday, Huron didn't have quite enough to beat Monroe and fell 3-2.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Huron sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 19-25, 25-21, 17-25, 15-10.

Pioneer not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 28th (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on Franklin with a sharp 3-0 win.

Huron's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16-1. As for Pioneer, their victory ended a five-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 12-9.

Huron came up short against Pioneer in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the River Rats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
