After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Orcutt Academy, Corcoran was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Granite Hills Grizzlies. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Aliyah Andrade spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Holly Curtsinger, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Amy Smith, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Corcoran's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Granite Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9-1.

Corcoran will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Grizzlies: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
