Preview: Wooddale Cardinals vs. Westwood Longhorns
The Wooddale Cardinals will be home for the holidays to greet the Westwood Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Wooddale has struggled recently with seven defeats in a row, while Westwood will arrive with four straight wins.
Last Friday, Wooddale took a serious blow against Trezevant, falling 57-26. Wooddale was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-12.
Meanwhile, even though Freedom Prep Academy scored an imposing 59 points on Thursday, Westwood still came out on top. Westwood walked away with a 67-59 win over Freedom Prep Academy.
Wooddale's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Westwood, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Wooddale lost to Westwood at home by a decisive 54-39 margin in their previous matchup back in November of 2016. Can Wooddale avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
