Volleyball Recap: Columbus Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Columbus and Wellsville squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Columbus had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Titans just can't catch a break and have now endured eight losses in a row.

Wellsville found their leader in sophomore Kailynn Rice, who had eight digs and two aces.

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 5-31-1. As for Wellsville, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-14.

Columbus has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Anderson County on the 20th. As for Wellsville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Riverton on the 20th.
