Softball Game Preview: South Kingstown Rebels vs. Barrington Eagles

The South Kingstown Rebels will take on the Barrington Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, South Kingstown put up the most runs they have all season on Monday. They blew past Woonsocket 17-1. Winning may never get old, but the Rebels sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, Barrington faced North Providence in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Eagles fell 13-10 to the Cougars.

Grace Fontaine stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Etheridge, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Barrington's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7-1. As for South Kingstown, their win bumped their record up to 7-10-1.
