Basketball Game Recap: Vestaburg Wolverines vs. Breckenridge Huskies

The Vestaburg Wolverines lost against the Breckenridge Huskies back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Vestaburg suffered a rough 58-35 defeat at the hands of Breckenridge. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Vestaburg in their matchups with Breckenridge: they've now lost seven in a row.

Several Wolverines players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lily Johnston, who scored 17 points along with six steals. Johnston hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Addison Neelis was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Vestaburg's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Breckenridge, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Vestaburg will be playing at home against St. Louis at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Breckenridge, they will head out on the road to challenge Fulton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
