Volleyball Recap: Marcus Marauders vs. Coppell Cowboys
After flying high against Little Elm on Friday, Marcus came back down to earth. The Marauders came up short against the Coppell Cowboys on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Marauders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cowboys apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
While Marcus was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Coppell's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20, 26-24.

Despite the loss, Marcus still got an impressive performance from Addelyn Cooke, who had 20 digs and two assists. Cooke has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played. Sophia Nash also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Coppell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zoey Ponsen, who had 19 assists and seven digs. That's the most assists Ponsen has posted since September 2nd.
Marcus' loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 14-16. As for Coppell, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.
