Baseball Recap: Oklahoma Bible Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

While Oklahoma Bible's win against Watonga wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Trojans skirted past the Eagles 8-7. The victory was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won three games in a row.

Liam Berry made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over 2.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Oklahoma Bible is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 2-6 otherwise. Berry was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, Connor Reid was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

Oklahoma Bible now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Watonga, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Oklahoma Bible will venture away from home to take on Pond Creek-Hunter at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Watonga, they will head out to square off against Carnegie at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
