After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oak Harbor, Genoa Area was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Woodmore Wildcats with a sharp 12-2 win. It was an even better day for Gavin Goodman as he scored three goals for his team.

Genoa Area's victory ended a five-match drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8. As for Woodmore, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
