Volleyball Recap: Sutter Takes a Loss

It was a good run, but Sutter unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Durham Trojans by a score of 2-1. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Sutter sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 22-25, 15-9.

Alyvia Brown paced Sutter's offense, picking up eight kills. Brown got some help from Audrey Young and her eight assists.

Sutter's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Durham, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Sutter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against East Nicolaus on the 6th. As for Durham, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Pioneer on the 6th.
