West Campus came tearing into Thursday's match with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Monterey Trail Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-0 win back in September.

West Campus walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-15, 25-21.

Ke'Ala Ayin paced West Campus' offense, picking up nine kills. Ayin got some help from Chloe Chan and her 24 assists. Chan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

West Campus' win bumped their record up to 24-4. As for Monterey Trail, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.

West Campus has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Grace Davis on the 11th. As for Monterey Trail, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Laguna Creek on the 14th.
