Meanwhile, FAMU DRS was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by Wakulla 52-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Baby Rattlers were not able to get on the board.
Maclay's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for FAMU DRS, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
Friday's matchup might be decided in the trenches. Maclay has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 155.3 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for FAMU DRS, though, as they've been averaging only 77.6. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
