Baseball Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

Springfield lost against Albany back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Hornets, falling 13-2. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Will Sanders made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Albany, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.

While Springfield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
