Basketball Recap: Weston Stratton's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Draper APA over Enterprise

Draper APA and Enterprise squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Draper APA had to settle for second. They lost 61-38 to the Enterprise Wolves. The Eagles have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Draper APA's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Weston Stratton, who posted six points. The dominant performance gave Stratton a new career-high in points. Jackson Chatterton also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Even though they lost, Draper APA smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. This was only their fourth loss (out of 16 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.

Treyson Whitman was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds for Enterprise. Another player making a difference was Colten Seegmiller, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 13 points and six boards.

Draper APA's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Enterprise, they pushed their record up to 16-12 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Draper APA does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Enterprise, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-48 win against North Sevier on the 22nd.
