Volleyball Recap: Doctors Charter Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Doctors Charter had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Monsignor Pace Spartans, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost three in a row.

Doctors Charter took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-16, 25-22.

Monsignor Pace has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Doctors Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Monsignor Pace, they will square off against Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Spartans have won five straight at home, while the Stallions won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
