Basketball Recap: Westlake Academy Comes Up Short

After soaring to 58 points the game before, Westlake Academy was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They lost 41-21 to the Chisholm Trail Academy Blazers. The Blacksmiths have struggled against the Blazers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Mason Wack was Westlake Academy's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Maya Sonday held things down on the boards with eight rebounds. Kelsey Carlson took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Westlake Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Chisholm Trail Academy, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Westlake Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 40-16 win against Redlands Adventist Academy on the 23rd. As for Chisholm Trail Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Yavneh Academy at 6:30 p.m. on February 4th.
