Flag Football Recap: North Monterey County Piles Up the Points Against Everett Alvarez

After low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, North Monterey County brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They blew past the Everett Alvarez Eagles, posting a 33-6 victory. The Condors' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

North Monterey County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off six passes before the game was over. Danae Diaz led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by herself. Nalani Mendoza has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last four times she's played.

North Monterey County is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.3 points on average over those games. As for Everett Alvarez, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-9.
