Volleyball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

If Centennial was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mifflin on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Stars lost 3-0 to the Westland Cougars on Wednesday. The Stars have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

While Centennial was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Westland's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-22.

Centennial now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Westland, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Centennial will square off against Beechcroft at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westland, they are taking a road trip to square off against Worthington Kilbourne at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
