Softball Recap: Billings Senior Wins High-Profile Contest Against Billings West

Billings Senior faced Billings West in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Broncs came out on top against the Golden Bears by a score of 6-2. This was payback for the Broncs, who suffered a 9-5 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Billings Senior got a great performance from Rayvin Fisher as she struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave Fisher a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Viennah Meyer was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Octavia Meyer, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Billings Senior pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Billings West, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.
