            Softball Recap: Trinity Christian Lions vs. Lockney Longhorns        
        
		
        
        
            After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Floydada, Trinity Christian was happy to have turned things around  on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Lockney Longhorns  a   20-0 shutout. That looming  20-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Lions yet this  season.

 Emily Karr and  Corey Fortner were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing,  Karr   tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Meanwhile,  Fortner   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time she's  pitched this season. At the plate,  Karr  scored three  runs while going 3-for-3, while  Fortner  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4. Karr also  hit two  doubles, marking her first of the season.
 In other batting news,  Allie Everett was a standout: she fired off two  home runs, seven  RBI,  and three  runs while going 3-for-4. Those  home runs marked the first that  she  launched this season. Another player making a difference was  Bri Byers, who  fired off two  home runs, three  runs,  and three  RBI while going 3-for-3.
 Trinity Christian  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .800. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lockney only posted  an  OBP of  .182.
The  victory  got Trinity Christian back to even at 3-3. As for Lockney, their defeat was  their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-8.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian will host Ralls  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Lockney, they will welcome Morton  at 5:00  p.m.  on March 11th.
