Archbishop Ryan is 1-7 against Father Judge since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Raiders and Ragdolls will look to defend their home field against the Crusaders at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Archbishop Ryan will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Archbishop Wood, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Raiders and Ragdolls walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Vikings on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Dave Perez, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. He is becoming a predictor of Archbishop Ryan's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-4 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Flash Krzywicki, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Father Judge waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Tide.
Kaiden Laverty looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Kevin Krause and Nick Wolf did most of the damage at the plate: Krause went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Wolf went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Wolf has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Ryan King, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
Archbishop Ryan has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Father Judge, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
Archbishop Ryan couldn't quite get it done against Father Judge when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 9-4. Can the Raiders and Ragdolls avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
