Softball Recap: Sam Rayburn Comes Up Short

Sam Rayburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 13-8 to the Whitewright Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-7 back in March.

Sam Rayburn now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Whitewright, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sam Rayburn is set to take on their familiar foe Collinsville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Whitewright will challenge rival Ector at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
