A big part of Denby's victory came down to the chemistry between Christopher Kendrick and his top target Treveyon Bush. Kendrick rushed for 84 yards on only ten carries while Bush rushed for 46 yards and two scores. That's the most rushing yards Kendrick has posted since back in August.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Denby proved: they limited Pershing to a paltry 3.2 yards per carry. The Tars didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.5.

Meanwhile, University Prep Science & Math scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 50-44 to Eastern.

University Prep Science & Math's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Denby, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
