Enloe hasn't had much luck against Cardinal Gibbons recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Enloe Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders at 5:00 p.m. The match will give Enloe their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
On Friday, Enloe didn't have quite enough to beat East Chapel Hill and fell 3-2. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Malhar Shelke spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Dylan Hazen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Martinez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Meanwhile, Cardinal Gibbons waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Wolverines as they made off with a 9-0 win. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.
Cardinal Gibbons let Jack Richards and Damon Phillips run wild. Richards scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Phillips scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. Cardinal Gibbons is undefeated when Phillips posts two or more runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Cam Tarkenton was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Cardinal Gibbons kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive matches.
Enloe now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Enloe has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Cardinal Gibbons struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Enloe couldn't quite finish off Cardinal Gibbons in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 3-1. Can Enloe avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
