Mt. Vernon had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They came out on top against the Glendale Falcons by a score of 2-0. The Mountaineers were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Falcons, so the Mountaineers were just returning the favor.

Mt. Vernon's offense was headlined by Camryn Cornell and Ziah Schmutz, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Ruth Fish and her 15 assists.

Mt. Vernon's record now sits at 16-6-2. As for Glendale, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6-3.

Mt. Vernon has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Branson on the 4th. As for Glendale, they will host Nixa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
