McKeel Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand the Lake Placid Dragons a 4-0 shutout. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Dragons are ranked 548th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

McKeel Academy has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-0-3 record this season. As for Lake Placid, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-9-2.

McKeel Academy wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Lakeland Christian on the 13th. Lake Placid has also already played their next game, a 4-0 victory against Moore Haven on the 14th.
