Softball Game Preview: Ridge View Blazers vs. Dreher Blue Devils

Ridge View has gone a perfect 3-0 against Dreher recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. Ridge View will venture away from home to challenge Dreher at 5:30 p.m. Ridge View has given up an average of 11.2 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ridge View is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They fell just short of Spring Valley by a score of 21-20 on Tuesday. The Blazers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Helena Wright made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in five of her six plate appearances with three runs and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sierra Lowman, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances.

Even though they lost, Ridge View always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .640. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Dreher didn't have quite enough to beat Airport on Tuesday and fell 6-5. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Ridge View's record now sits at 1-3. As for Dreher, their record is now 2-4.

Ridge View beat Dreher 26-22 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Will Ridge View repeat their success, or does Dreher has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
