Softball Recap: Mitchell Has No Trouble Against Pasco

Mitchell never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Pasco on Thursday. They blew past the Pirates 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won ten games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Savannah Toukatly made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, earning one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Mitchell got a big performance out of Taylor Tucker, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Taryn Newton also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

The win snapped Mitchell's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 15-5 record. As for Pasco, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Mitchell has already played their next match, a 6-1 victory against Zephyrhills on the 14th. As for Pasco, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-6 defeat against Hudson on the 11th.
