Recap: Trinity Christian Lions vs. Troup County Tigers
The Trinity Christian Lions lost against the Troup County Tigers back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Trinity Christian took a 28-14 bruising from Troup County. Trinity Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Although Trinity Christian took the loss, they still got scores from Preston Funk and Kaden Hanson.
Troup County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logan Sinkfield, who threw for 165 yards and two touchdowns.
Trinity Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Troup County, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
Trinity Christian will be playing at home against Fayette County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fayette County is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Troup County, they will head out on the road to face off against LaGrange at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. LaGrange knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Troup County likes a good challenge.
