Softball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Freedom last Friday, Trinity Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Trinity Christian Academy Eagles fell just short of the Orangewood Christian Rams by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 7-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Charleigh Morasse was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Morasse is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's stole at least two every time she's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Manzano, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Having lost for the first time this season, Trinity Christian Academy fell to 3-1. As for Orangewood Christian, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. As for Orangewood Christian, they will square off against Windermere Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
