Basketball Game Preview: Woodland Bobcats vs. Horseshoe Bend Generals

The Woodland Bobcats will venture away from home to face off against the Horseshoe Bend Generals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodland is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Woodland faced off against Randolph County on Saturday. Woodland fell 33-20 to Randolph County.

Horseshoe Bend's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Loachapoka back in December of 2024. Horseshoe Bend claimed a resounding 62-35 victory over Wadley. The Generals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 27 points or more this season.

Horseshoe Bend's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Woodland, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Woodland lost to Horseshoe Bend on the road by a decisive 44-29 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Woodland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
