Softball Recap: Dale County Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Dale County walked away with it. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Daleville Warhawks a 15-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 12 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Shayleigh Whitman was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of AK Snellgrove, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one run.

Dale County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March.

Dale County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Daleville, they dropped their record down to 1-14 with the loss, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Dale County nor the Warhawks have any future games scheduled.
