Preview: Wayne County Wildcats vs. Deshler Tigers
The Wayne County Wildcats will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Deshler Tigers on December 22nd. Wayne County will be strutting in after a victory while Deshler will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, Wayne County was able to grind out a solid victory over Richland, taking the game 45-37.
Meanwhile, Deshler is ranked highly in their home state, and on Wednesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Loretto. Deshler took a serious blow against Loretto, falling 65-30. Deshler was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-19.
Wayne County's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Deshler, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-4.
Wayne County didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Deshler when the teams last played back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 59-55 win. Does Wayne County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Deshler turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
