Empire waltzed into their game on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the St. Augustine Catholic Wolves. The Ravens have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolves, too.

Brayden Schlauderaff spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Empire got a massive performance out of Zackary Breinlinger, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Those five RBI gave Breinlinger a new career-high. Elliott Norton was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Empire was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .483. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in five consecutive contests.

Empire's record now sits at 13-8. As for St. Augustine Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Empire will venture away from home to take on Palo Verde at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Augustine Catholic, they will head out to challenge Benson at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
