Football Game Preview: Wyandotte Bears vs. Salina Wildcats

The Wyandotte Bears will venture away from home to challenge the Salina Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wyandotte will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Wyandotte is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 56-6 win over Chelsea. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Bears with their most commanding win of the season.

Kason Threet continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 132 yards and four TDs on only eight carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in October of 2024. Hunter White was another key player, throwing for 156 yards and one touchdown while completing 84.6% of his passes.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Salina faced off against Keys on Friday. The Wildcats blew past the Cougars, posting a 56-25 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won five games by 31 points or more so far this season.

Salina's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Wyandotte, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.

Wyandotte won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, slipping by Salina 28-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
