Volleyball Recap: Wawasee Takes a Loss

Wawasee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Lakeland Lakers, falling 3-0. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Lakers when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17, 25-16.

Wawasee's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lakeland, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Wawasee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Central Noble on the 26th. As for Lakeland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Noble at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Knights will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more sets each match than the last.
