It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Concord can now relate to. They came up short against the Taylor Tigers on Thursday, falling 12-0. The Pirates' loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

L Cornett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and nine unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

Concord's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Taylor, the win was the 18th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-3.

As of now, neither Concord nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
