If Brainerd wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Sequatchie County, they should've done a better job of containing Beckham McKendrick. The Sequatchie County Indians came out on top in a nail-biter against the Brainerd Panthers on Thursday, sneaking past 44-42 thanks in part to McKendrick, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 11 boards. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points.

Harrison Smith was another key player, putting up ten points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Sequatchie County's record now sits at 13-14. As for Brainerd, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.

Sequatchie County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-50 loss against Marion County on the 20th. Brainerd does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
