Volleyball Game Preview: Montpelier Solons vs. Middlebury Tigers + How To Watch

Montpelier hasn't had much luck against Middlebury recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Solons will host the Tigers at 12:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Montpelier is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Vermont's top teams: Lyndon Institute, who was ranked 19th at the time (Montpelier was ranked 14th). The Solons put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 3-0 win on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Solons.

While Montpelier won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-13, 27-25.

Meanwhile, Middlebury made easy work of Harwood on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Middlebury never let Harwood on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-18, 25-20.

Middlebury's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Montpelier, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.
