Soccer Game Preview: Dracut vs. Shawsheen Valley Tech

The Dracut Middies will head out to challenge the Shawsheen Valley Tech Rams at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Dracut's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Thursday, Dracut didn't have quite enough to beat Mystic Valley Regional and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Dracut have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Shawsheen Valley Tech fell victim to Groton-Dunstable and their airtight defense on Thursday. They fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 1-0.

Shawsheen Valley Tech dropped their record down to 5-8-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Dracut, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-1.

Dracut skirted past Shawsheen Valley Tech 1-0 in their previous meeting back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Middies since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
