Baseball Recap: Leland Comes Up Short

Leland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 5-1 to the Christopher Cougars. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Leland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sean Nguyen-Fell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Leland's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Christopher, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Christopher beat Leland by a score of 7-0 on Friday.
