Basketball Game Preview: Winneconne Wolves vs. Ripon Tigers

The Winneconne Wolves will head out to face off against the Ripon Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Winneconne was beaten by Waupun 72-31. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Ripon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 69-54 to Berlin. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 424th, while the Indians are ranked 176th).

Ripon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Winneconne, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.

Winneconne strolled past Ripon in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 84-70. The rematch might be a little tougher for Winneconne since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
