Baseball Recap: Patchogue-Medford Extends Winning Streak to Five

Patchogue-Medford won against Central Islip on Thursday with 23 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Raiders never let the Musketeers get on the board and left with a 23-0 victory. That looming 23-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Raiders yet this season.

The win (which was Patchogue-Medford's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.6 runs over those games. As for Central Islip, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.
