Lake Gibson waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Lake Region Thunder by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Lake Gibson's offense was headlined by Peyton Hopkins and Kayla Staats, who picked up seven kills apiece. Hopkins really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with nine. Alaina Saunders controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lake Gibson's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Lake Region, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-20.

Coincidentally, Lake Gibson and Lake Region will both be playing Davenport the next time they take the court. The Thunder will head out to face the Broncos at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Braves will play them later in the day, at 11:30 a.m.
